By the end of February, Germany's total installed PV capacity had reached approximately 102.3 GW.
According to the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), Germany deployed around 1.53 GW of new solar capacity in February, surpassing the 1.23 GW installed in January and the 1.24 GW recorded in February 2024.
Among the newly installed capacity, balcony PV systems contributed 24 MW, while rooftop installations accounted for 402 MW. Ground-mounted projects added 967 MW, with an additional 13 MW coming from other types of installations.
In total, Germany installed approximately 16.73 GW of new solar capacity in 2024.
